Des Cleary and Tommy Butler fought back from 3 down after 11 holes and eventually won their match 2 up. John Gough and John G Moloney lost a very tight match on the 19th.The second leg is in Faithlegg on Wednesday 29th. The first of five matches tees off at 2pm.

If you’re interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, and would like to join us just put your name on our timesheet any Wednesday.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
The new format for our foursomes proved very successful last Friday with a large turnout. We now tee-off at 9am with a shotgun start and play the back nine. It was more sociable with everyone finishing together and gathering for the ‘coffee and chat’. Scoring was very close and the course was in great shape.
First: Adrian O’ Driscoll and Margaret Lake 40
Second:  Les Ford and Ellen Power 41
Well done everyone and thanks for your continued support. We are not back again until Fri Jun 7. This Friday morning the course is closed in preparation for the Captain’s prize. We wish our hardworking Captain Liam Hansbury the best of luck from the Fun Friday crew.
