It was with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of club member Elizabeth (Liz) Walsh. Liz was a very popular, much loved and long serving member of Dungarvan Golf Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this very sad time. She will be greatly missed by us all. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
We held a very successful social scramble last Sunday with ideal weather conditions. A huge thanks to Colette O’Mahony and Ann Heneberry who organised and ran the event. Many thanks also to Antoinette and staff in the bar who looked after us in the bar later.

AUTUMN MIXED LEAGUE

Week 4 the current joint leaders are teams Jaguar/BMW, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini all with 36 points. In fourth place is Aston Martin with 35 points, fifth place is Mercedez Benz with 33 points, sixth place is Bugatti with 30 points, seventh place is Audi with 23 points and in eighth place is Ferrari with 19 points. There are four weeks left in the competition so there is still time to catch up.

60.COM

As usual we had a full timesheet for our 60.com competition on 13 November. In fact, the timesheet was booked before and after the allotted time slots to facilitate those wanting to play. We had excellent scores on the day. The scores were: 1^st Pat Power 22pts, 2^nd Jack Elstead 21pts, 3^rd Mossie MacNamara 19pts.

Just a reminder that the date of our 60.com Christmas Party is Wednesday 11 December. If you’re interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then put your name on the timesheet any Wednesday and join us.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
In spite of the early start on Friday mornings this fun competition continues to attract large numbers. We were delighted to welcome Sarah Younge who joined us for the first time last Friday. 1^st Martin Rouse and Mary M. Ryan, 2^nd Martin T. Landers and Sarah Younge, 3^rd Charles Daly and John Morgan. We are back again this Friday (Nov 22). Shotgun start at 9 am. All are welcome

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 15^th November. The numbers drawn were 1, 5, 14 and 22. The jackpot was €4,400, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €4,500 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Bernie Hayes & Pat Flanagan & Marie Fahey and Jim Byrne & The Sunday 7 – each winning group shares €50. The next draw will take place on Friday 22^nd November. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. All funds raised are used to develop our course.

BRIDGE

Bridge takes place every Friday at 11am in the clubhouse – all are welcome.
