We have a great new member joining rate for 2025. Join for €430 + €28 Golf Ireland fee for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone. We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

Our beautiful bar and restaurant are very popular where Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards, book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. PARENT CLUB AGM

The Parent Club Annual General Meeting takes place on Wednesday 26 February 2025 at 7.30pm. Nominations for the Management Committee and Motions must be submitted by Wednesday, 12th February.

BANK HOLIDAY SCRAMBLE

We had a full timesheet for our popular open bank holiday scramble on Monday 3^rd. Congrats to winners Ger Cummins, Pat O’Connell & Damien Walsh 56pts and 2^nd Brian Dillon, Tony Hamilton & Noel Brennan 55pts.

WINTER GOLF LESSONS
These lessons in Tinhalla Driving Range with our PGA Professional David Hayes came to a close on Monday night. They were a huge success and the feedback is very positive from the participants. A follow- up chipping and putting lesson will take place in Dungarvan Golf Club later to complete the programme. Thanks to all the participants and to David Hayes for sharing his expertise. This was a new initiative and one we will certainly repeat.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our next Social Scramble is scheduled for Sunday Feb 23. Shotgun start at 3pm. This scramble is open to all members including juveniles. It is a social event and is a great opportunity to meet other members. Booking is open so go online and book your place.

We had an Arctic environment on the morning of 5th February but the afternoon turned out to be almost Mediterranean conditions. We had a full time sheet and some excellent golf. The winners were: 1^st Dermot Graham 21pts, 2^nd Eamon Keane 20pts, 3^rd Adrian O’Driscoll 19pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
It was a very cold Friday morning for our Foursomes, but none the less we had a good turnout.  Everyone was delighted with the hot coffee and tea in the bar later. Many thanks to Michael, just back from sunnier climes, who totted up scores and handicaps later.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 7^th February. The numbers drawn were 13, 18, 25 and 26. The jackpot was €5,600, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €5,700 for the next draw. We had one match 3 winner – David Morrissey – who wins €100.
The next draw will take place on Friday 14^th February. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. Tickets can be purchased on our website or in our clubhouse. All funds raised are used to develop our course.

PRO SHOP

As we eagerly await the start of the season and some better weather, our Pro Shop is gearing up. David has all the latest releases from the major golf manufacturers. Ping have launched the new G440 range while Taylor Made have a new Qi35 range. Mizuno have updated their fitting system to include custom fitted wedges, all are available in David’s Pro Shop. If you are contemplating upgrading your equipment, call to David for professional advice.
