QUIZ NIGHT
We had a full house for our quiz on Wednesday 30th Oct Bob O’Brien and his team produced excellent and fun questions. They had a mixture of tough questions, fun facts and musical puzzlers. The participants frowned, smiled, sang and looked confounded during the night.

LADIES 3 CLUB COMPETITION
On Tuesday last, we ran our second 3 club competition of the year which is a fun event where only 3 clubs are allowed in your bag. The challenge, of course is to choose the clubs you are most comfortable with; there had been much previous discussion on the merits of various clubs, the most contentious being whether you could do without your driver. Indeed, many of us could do with leaving most of the clubs at home on a typical round, which was proved by the great scores of the winners.
The winner was Cait Herlihy with a fantastic score of 25 points, even more amazing when Cait pointed out that she scratched the first 4 holes! Her clubs of choice were her 5 rescue, her pitching wedge and putter. 2nd was Pat Flanagan with 24 points and in her bag, she carried a 5 wood, 7 iron and putter. 3rd place was Mary Prendergast with 23 points. Her selection was her driver, 5 wood and putter. The large entry to the competition was very encouraging and we thank Eurospar Abbeyside for their sponsorship of the event.
