HAPPY NEW YEAR

We would like to wish all our Members, Sponsors, Friends, Visitors and Staff a very Happy New Year. We would like to thank our members for their continued support of the club throughout the last year. 

Thank you to all our members who volunteer their free time here at Dungarvan Golf Club and whose hard work is really appreciated and we look forward to welcoming new committee members on all our committees during the next few months.

JOIN US IN 2025

We have a great new member joining rate for 2025. Join for €430 + €28 Golf Ireland fee for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone. We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

Our beautiful bar and restaurant are very popular where Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards, book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. The Annual General meeting of the Ladies Club will be held on Tuesday 14th January 2025, at 7pm in the clubhouse.

The Annual General meeting of the Men’s Club will be held on the 21st January 2025 at 7.30pm in the clubhouse.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS 2025

Our Membership Renewal Invoices have gone out to all members by email. We encourage members to pay in full or set up a payment plan using our BRS Memberships system. Please contact the office if you require assistance with this or if you had difficulty receiving the email.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our first social scramble of 2025 is scheduled for this Sunday Jan 12. Shotgun start
at 1.30pm. Booking sheet is open. If you would like to join us, just go online and book your place.

SPRING MIXED LEAGUE 2025

The Spring Mixed League will run from Monday 13^th January running continuously till Sunday March 16^th 2025. Final entry date is Thursday 9^th of January. Teams will be selected randomly by computer from 4 categories. Entry Fee is €20 Cash to be paid in advance of play. Entry list in locker rooms. Scoring for this competition is your best 9 scores over the duration of the competition. Play as often as you like to beat your last worst score. We encourage everyone to get involved!

60.COM

Our 60.com competition is back this Wednesday 8^th January. If you’re interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
Due to extreme weather conditions we were unable to hold our foursomes event last Friday. Hopefully we will be back this Friday Jan 10. Shotgun start at 9 am. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes followed by coffee and chat in the bar later. This is a social event and a great way to meet others in the club.

WINTER GOLF LESSONS
David Hayes our PGA Professional is running golf lessons in Tinhalla driving range for our members. Demand was so high that David has agreed to put on a second set of lessons. They begin on Monday (Jan 13) and Wednesday (Jan 15) and will run for four consecutive weeks. There is a waiting list in place now!

We have been busy taking bookings for 2025! If you have a preferred date for your outing, please contact the office on 058-43310, we have great society rates along with menu packages available to suit your budget.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 3^rd January. The numbers drawn were 16, 20, 22 and 27. The jackpot was €5,100, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €5,200 for the next draw. We had no match 3 winners. The next draw will take place on Friday 10^th January. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. All funds raised are used to develop our course.

BRIDGE

Bridge takes place every Friday at 11am in the clubhouse – all are welcome.
