CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
Our Captains Drive in is taking place on Sunday 16th March at 2pm followed by a 9 hole scramble shotgun start at 2.30pm. Entry Fee is €10 cash and €5 for juniors which includes food after golf. Closing date for entry is Friday 14th at 8pm. We hope you can all join us on this special day for Captain Edward Moynihan and Lady Captain Bernie Lynch.

The Parent Club Annual General Meeting takes place on Wednesday 26 February 2025 at 7.30pm.
SPRING LEAGUE
After three weeks of play, the following are the results to date. Best individual men are Pat Power and Walter Cullinane both with 96 points. Best individual lady is Daphne Power – 93 points. Top three teams are 1st Tottenham 318 points, 2nd Liverpool 291 points, 3rd Manchester United 290 points. Please see full results report in the locker rooms. Your best nine scores for the duration of the league will be counted. Lower scores that have already been entered will be replaced by a later higher score.

The hardy members of the 60.com turned up for our competition on Wednesday 12th Feb to make a full timesheet – it was a very cold day but this did not deter them. The winners were: 1st Des Cleary 23pts, 2nd Tommy Butler 21pts, 3rd Martin Landers 19pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.
FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMESThere was very little golf played over the weekend due to continuous rain and wet conditions. Hopefully this Friday will be better for our foursomes. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes over the back nine holes with a shotgun start at 9 am. It is a social event and a great way to meet other members. All are welcome.
SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLEOur next social scramble is scheduled for this Sunday (Feb 23) with a shotgun startat 3 pm. These scrambles are open to all members including juveniles. You don’t need a handicap to participate. The timesheet is open. If you are free and would like to join us, just go online and book your place.

We have a great new member joining rate for 2025. Join for €430 + €28 Golf Ireland fee for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone. We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers. LOTTO RESULTS
We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 14th Feb. The numbers drawn were 11, 17, 25 and 27. The jackpot was €5,700, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €5,800 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Martin Lynch and Michael Donovan – who win €50 each. The next draw will take place on Friday 21st February. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. Tickets can be purchased on our website or in our clubhouse. All funds raised are used to develop our course.

As we eagerly await the start of the season and some better weather, our Pro Shop is gearing up. David has all the latest releases from the major golf manufacturers. Ping have launched the new G440 range while Taylor Made have a new Qi35 range. Mizuno have updated their fitting system to include custom fitted wedges, all are available in David’s Pro Shop. If you are contemplating upgrading your equipment, call to David for professional advice.
